More Coast Pictures

Were you waiting around for more pictures?  That's nice...    ~ glad I could fill a need!
:) I think I am SO funny...

This is a "classic" picture of the kids, I was trying to get the background all centered in and then I needed to have them doing something, so I asked them to wave... good thing..
ahem...  I didn't want to see their faces!
The other day Shane came home with a Bionicle from his playdate, -- I let Shane bring it with us on the drive-- but Shane kept putting the bionicle in my hair... finally I took it away and since the kids had recently watched Short Circut-- the bionicle was "dissassembled..."  on the dashboard of the truck.
Today I was returned the Bionacle to Shane-- hopefully it will not need dissassemble today!

On our way back home, Jerry wanted to stop by one of his favorite fishing spots and show us the scenery-- Shane had been complaining that he just wanted to go home, but once he was outside and he found two sticks...
he was happy to just..."be"... a boy in the woods...with sticks...
I guess you could call this simple, priceless~ Joy?

Presents, and American Idol

If you don't read here often this post might not make sense-- but then if you do read here often, you might still be shaking your head thinking I have lost my mind!

This last weekend we had Christmas with my mom's side of the family-- The kids were only supposed to come home with two gifts, one from another cousin- and one from Pete,Sara and Miles. Aunt Sara really knows how to buy for my kids, she got Jessica a bunch of cute tops-- in just the right colors and more importantly the right sizes. Aunt Sara also found two transformer toys that transformed into a SUV and a truck-- Shane is SO HAPPY. Thanks!

At first when I saw the train going around and around I thought it was a toy that was too young for Shane, but then I saw the Mini scooter mania-- and all the little teeny, tiny pieces,
I now Like (err, LOVE) the train that only goes around and around.

Jessica came home with variety pack of black velvet posters to color-- and a little plastic purse with lots of variety's of lip gloss-- I just hope the kids do NOT decide to put the lip gloss on their feet... (I know little feet "need" to smell good, but not with the help of LIP GLOSS!)

The oatmeal finally got to where it needed to be, but there was still drama associated with the delivery.

Both of the kids got these new re-usable lunch bags and so Jessica has been making lunches for both her brother and herself. I thought for a moment about "letting" Shane help-- and then I decided that Shane with a knife and peanut butter and jam -- might not be a good idea. I have been having Shane help put things on the table, that way he helps, but safely!

Tonight,after tasting dinner ~
Shane tells me " Mom, bbq sauce with chicken is JUST RAD, Mom... RAD!"
Ah, Joy !

American Idol-- There were some people who were expirencing a different reality, and then there were some contestants that made the little hairs on my arm stand up! One of the people that sticks out in my mind, is the guy at close to the end of the show that wore a green shirt and skinny jeans, he sang-- somewhat okay-- but he was very bland, he seemed to be lacking ambition to show why he was ... the NEXT American Idol -- The judges were trying to get him to be assertive and tell Simon to "Shut,up..." he just couldn't say it-- he had to say please....
Oh, gee I think he might just get pushed around during Hollywood week.--

Next week Jerry goes back to working nights and I am SO not excited to make the change-- our house is very small. We have what is an open floor plan, so it's not like you can go down a hallway into a room and sleep-- all the rooms are off of the living room and the walls -- well they don't do much to keep the sounds seperate!

I must go, one child in the bath, and one "making" lunch... I need to supervise!

Pipe cleaners and Transformers

Jessica decided to create her own ...special look today for church-- ?
I do hope and pray that she can get some solid fashion advise
(I hope that my sister-in-law Sara is that advisor) before she's a teenager!
When we were at Walmart to get Shane his reward toy for being good many days in a row at school-- I let Jessica choose something for herself...-- she had been good also-- she choose 100 different colored pipe cleaners and a package of sparkly pompon's-- the kids made bracelets out of the pipe cleaners and Jessica had me help her make a necklace with the pompon's.
Shane had earned his Transformer toy and so he was intently playing with it on the drive to church.
The first picture is of the library case at the kids' school it is book fair time again!

Christmas is over...

Well...
We travelled over the hills, thru the snow, and I guess you could even say we went thru the woods!

I would of taken pictures of where we were, and the snow,
but once we got there, I just wanted to stay in the warm cosy house!

The kids got so many things, I gathered them all together for a picture~

Shane got a whole box, stuffed full of some super nice hand-me-downs--complete with Spiderman gear, and even a Harley Davidson long-sleeved T-shirt, there was even some camo-PJ's with Scooobbbyyy DO! on them, my son is happy!

I was feeling very blessed before we went to see the family, and now my cup is overflowing! I would like to thank the person who gave my son a train that has 100 pieces, I mean I would really like to beat you very much....!!!!!

If I figure out who you are, I will attempt to re-gift it back!

Honestly we came away happy,
even the extra long way home,(we took the Long Way Home...)
wasn't as bad as it could of been!
I got some great reading material, from my cousin with the "big brain..." {I hope she reads this post and comments...!LOL}
On our way out to the car, Jessica realized that there was a "real live horse" in the yard
(My Uncle and Aunt even have a sign with a name at the entrance to their property !)
--- I guess she didn't see it thru the snow when we first arrived !
I got to use my power scissors to open some of the stuff....Oh, the Joy!
I even came home with a picture of my dear grandparents from their wedding~
Jessica saw the picture and said, "Wow, that looks old, like before they had TV!"
I didn't stop to explain how long ago the picture was taken,{Christmas Eve 1939}
but I instead I smiled at the moment.. Grandma passed in 1992, and Grandpa passed in 2001~ They were such great people, I'm sad they are not still living, but I just know that God has them working as angels somewhere!

Soon the kids will be back to school, My mother and I will travel via airplane to California, and I will be starting some new sewing projects, I can't wait to find a reason to use the power scissors ....AGAIN! Oh the Joy!

I do have to say, that even though I left home for the day-- it is still some-what clean!

What a concept!
(Acorrding to spell check, thru,Spiderman, and camo-Pj's are all spelled wrong--- well... I don't care! thuuupppptt!! (I stuck my tongue out and made a noise!LOL)

Sorry if that offends any of you readers!
