I think that buying the new cook ware was a good thing, but -- when I read the directions -- I found that the Paula Deen cookware is only under warranty if it is washed, by hand! I guess I'll be spending more time in the kitchen?-- I am usually a rinse the dirty and use the dishwasher type!
I went to visit my friend Patty-- at a bar on campus- where she hosts karaoke-- and I have to say that --
Just for entertainment purposes I should go and people watch there more often. I left with more appreciation for my kids and their attempts to be "good".-- I really wanted to pull some of the girls aside and remind them that "Hello, you are in the public view!"
Our local community college is creating a performance of "Godspell" they were at karaoke to plug their performance-- and to sing some -- It was sad to hear that one of the cast mention, before he sang~ that he wasn't a Christian -- but he would act the part while he sang and while on stage...
I thought for a moment about going over and seeing if I could invite him to see praise and worship in action-- and then I decided that -- I might not help him, come to the Lord by being so forward~
Then, when I finally got the the library -- I happened to see the DVD-- for Godspell! Jerry and the kids are watching it now... it was written in 1973 --- so it's a peculiar DVD...
I hope you and yours have a Happy New Year and that blessings and good things
come your way! ---
Talk with you next year!
cheers!
Sharing our world of 2 great kids, one overworked husband, and me... Mommy~ Mommy~ where is the spoon for the peanut butter? Chaos, abounds!

What to do
I have a new camera --I need to put the software on this slow computer and pray for enough room, new cookware-that I need to decide to keep or pack up and return-or I just need to try it out. I need to organize and sort things to donate...I need to bake some cookies, finish grocery shopping, strip the Christmas tree, and remove the Christmas tree, and wrap gifts(for my Mom's side of the family, their Christmas gathering that is on the 10th of Jan.) I need to finish making the magnets for the previously mentioned kids.
I also need to go and spend some lovely alone time at the library-- so that I can come home and put my nose in a book or three and ignore that the house still looks the...same.
I also need to see if my sewing machine with plastic parts -- can get through finishing the pants for Miles' Pj pants and then another top and pants.
By the way, my dear hubby who works 4 days on 4 days off-- 12 hour shifts-- might just be home for the next 8 days-- (did I mention that Jerry doesn't often, like to let go of stuff? )
I need my son to learn to use only 4 squares of toilet paper-- and to put said paper in the toilet...not in the garbage...AAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHh
Note to self: don't leave the kids to eat peanuts in the shell- while you blog and check email-otherwise the mess you see, might just curl your hair in an unpleasant way!!!!!!
I wonder if I can fix my hair, so that I don't look like a Who from Whoville!
Can I just go to church and have someone do this for me while I am away?
Thanks!

Painting new lines
The city sent the line painting crew out today--
to "enhance" the white line and
Also to re-paint the yellow double line
that runs through the middle of the street
to "enhance" the white line and

I just thought that the visual of the re-painting, and the enhancing of what was already there-- really related to parenting-- and how we as parents need to take the time once in a while to re-paint and enhance the rules. But so many things get in our way, dirty clothes, dirty dishes, creating healthy and home-made food, drying crying eyes~ The list really is endless.
But the list is just that a list, we can choose to make it smaller, simplify it, or just erase it and start over--
{Shane is 5 almost 6 and Jessica is 7--- I really feel like it is time for the kids to start helping on a more regular basis-- }
What I am trying to do is to learn to ....delegate
I happen to be hoping for comments... so please comment below!

Monday,just monday!
Manic Monday....Mommy
More Messes...Mommy
Mainly Mommy...Mommy--
can you hear me? Mommy?
There is a blog that has been down during the summer that is now back up and going--
This morning there is a post with a possibility of winning stuff...
here's the link go check it out~
Rock's in My Dryer
I'm not real excited,
but soon I will be 30 plus 8
-- the kids will be back to school and oh, oh, what will I do?
This will be the first time that both the kids are in school at the same time---
I am dreaming of many things...
I only...
hope and pray
that one or more
of my dreams come
true!
*starting a swim class to loose some weight
*organize the house
* keep it to a higher standard of clean
*sew and craft more--- maybe even make some $$?
*help in each of the kids' classrooms~
I will only be "alone" with the voices in my head for about 4 hours-
- I wonder just how many conversations I can finish?

Odds and Ends
In the Spirit of the New Year,
I wanted to share some pictures
of current events at our house!
The first picture you see is a look from our living room to the kitchen, for those of you who have been to my house, this is a new look-- the kitchen table is free of junk/clutter! There is still things to be cleaned so that is why the cleaners are all out on the counter~.
In the second picture you see Jessica and Shane in our living room, Jessica was a sweet child and made a bed for Shane and herself-- in front of the TV while Shane was eating his breakfast this morning~ What a sweet big sister!
In the last picture you see a picture of my first power tool... What a beautiful picture, I just want to give it a moment in the Sun.,,,!!!!
My husband got me these power scissors for Christmas, and normally I would of been offended, but these scissors are really ...awesome~ they cut almost anything as quick as a hot knife thru butter! I have already used them with..glee! LOL! I almost wish that Jerry would of taken a picture of me, when I was using the power scissors on the package that held Jessica's Barbie! It was nice to have power over the plastic!
Since we have been cleaning, and keeping clean-
(confession, my house is usually not pretty, it is very cluttered and dirty)-
it is like we are living a different reality!
We have been eating all our meals at the kitchen table, and the kids have even been cleaning up after themselves!
I am very pleased that the house is staying clean, and since I convinced Jerry and the kids to help, I think... it might stay ...clean! I would imagine that there will still be too much stuff, but at least now it looks like a home, and not a house full of clutter that looks like a tornado went off inside!
Anyway, sharing these pictures is my way of putting my New Years' resolution in color.
My pledge is to keep it clean GIRL!
As the year goes by, day by day,
Will you help me to stay focused on this keep it clean task?
Thanks so much!
