The Mom of Worry...

I have yet to be cloned so here I sit,

posting yet another post -- but why?

* to vent my displeasure

* to whine some---

* to have a small but possibly productive...(yeah,right) pity party...
* to annoy some who read this blog... 'cause I can annoy people... (shocking right?)
Jessica, and all the other second graders are gone on a field trip to the PDX ZOO-- and I don't get to go... wah, wah... I didn't even remember to send her with a camera...wah, wah...
Jerry is gone ...yet again... Sturgeon fishing... this time it's a guided fishing trip, he took his brother and a few other guys so that the cost is not so high-- but he is gone-- for most of the day. (my dear sweet silly husband took my camera-- on his trip~ I do believe he is un-aware that I have the memory card...)
Shane is at school -- and I am wishing that for the rest of the year we could have the guest teacher-- she is so much more flexible and willing to see value in letting kids " just be...
I want to be with Jessica and the 2nd graders at the Zoo, but I cannot, I have to be available to pick Shane up from school -- and besides there were already enough parent volunteers going...
I am worried that Jessica will pet a cud chewing animal
(cud chewing animals have more naturally occurring E coli...)
and then touch herself-- and then get E coli again...
{I know in the analytical part of my brain that this is highly un-likely -- but it still a worry that I have}
I worry that Jessica will forget to go pee while in PDX and then have a bladder infection because she held it for so long.. (The bus ride is about 2 hours each way) I worry that Jessica will get car/bus sick and that would really be sad.
Gosh ... just call me Stacey the mom of worry... may I have a crown of thorns?
There are other things on my list today that might be considered stress-- I'll keep those to myself.
So, I guess I'll end this post with this...
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. (Psalm 46:1-3)
and also...
Those of steadfast mind you keep in peace—because they trust in you. Trust in the Lord forever, for in the Lord God you have an everlasting rock. (Isaiah 26: 3-4)

I need to focus on the Joy...

I have... beautiful,loving kids--

a husband who likes to bring things home (fish)

- - the sun shining and ?

on another topic... do you, have you, ever wanted to make your blog into a book?http://blog2print.sharedbook.com/blogworld/printmyblog/index.html

Mmmmm! Sturgeon! It has been too long since I had some.

I think your post was the perfect means for treating your worries. Now come back and tell us everyone is alright. Alright!?

I like what Barbara said...

How was the zoo trip? How did Shane's day end? Did the husband actually catch some fish?
