Garth Brooks & Circulation

I have my own personal paparazzi -- his name is Shane, and his favorite time to pester me, is when I am trying to make a meal!!!
Shane has such huge mood swings when it comes to food either he is ...Starving....
or he won't want to eat anything, except saltine crackers!

Just the other day Jessica and Shane watched a video by Bill Nye the Science Guy...It was called Blood and Circulation.. the kids really enjoy finding out how things work, and they think the body is so ... "cool".

Anyway, today Shane was trying to play

(when this toy was new it didn't always work, but that never stopped Shane...!)

with a toy that makes ANNOYING noises, like a siren and car driving sounds--

I overheard Shane saying "Whatcha goin' do when the circulation gonna get you..." Apparently, Shane had heard the theme from, America's Most Wanted and decided to incorporate it into his play...! { I took time out to explain to Shane that only people and animals have blood, and internal organs-- toys don't-- I really don't know if he understood me-- So I will have,to listen closely while he plays today!}

Never a boring or dull moment ~

While watching Good Morning America today,

Garth Brooks Joins Forces with Susan G. Komen for the Cure with Pink Edition of ‘The Ultimate Hits’
Album Sales Support Work of Global Breast Cancer Leader
DALLAS – October 15, 2007 – Garth Brooks, the fastest-selling solo artist in music history, is joining forces with Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the world’s largest breast cancer organization, with the release of the Pink Edition of “Garth Brooks: The Ultimate Hits.”
The Pink Edition. The Pink Edition marks the first time in history a music artist has simultaneously released two versions of an album, with one version dedicated solely to charity. Available November 6 for $15 exclusively through Komen’s online Promise Shop, at
www.komen.org/garth, $10 from each Pink Edition sold will go to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. The 3-disc set contains 30 classics, three new songs and a bonus track on two audio CDs. The set also includes a DVD with 33 videos including new and never-before-seen footage. Additionally, the album will feature important breast health and breast cancer information along with an instructional card on breast self-examination.
“Through the release of this very special – and very pink – edition of The Ultimate Hits, Garth Brooks is actively joining Susan G. Komen for the Cure in our promise to end breast cancer forever,” said breast cancer survivor Hala Moddelmog, Komen for the Cure’s president and chief executive officer. “We’re excited about the potential from this relationship, and we’re grateful that Garth is featuring important breast health and breast cancer information from Komen with the album. Through this example of his artistry and generosity, Garth is giving Komen a unique opportunity to raise significant dollars and reach millions of people, ultimately helping us to save lives.”
Garth Brooks’ inspiration for the Pink Edition Brooks said he was inspired to make the special Pink Edition of his Ultimate Hits and have it offered exclusively through Komen after watching his wife train for and participate in the Breast Cancer 3-Day, benefiting Susan G. Komen for the Cure. The event challenges participants to walk 60 miles over three days to benefit Komen and the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund.
Brooks said making the album was “a heck of a lot easier than me trying to walk 60 miles.” Producing and packaging the limited Pink Edition of his album with its distinct design and messaging, he said, was a way he could contribute to saving lives and searching for the cures for breast cancer.

My grandmother, on my mother's side, passed away June 1992, after her fight with breast cancer, so the topic is near and dear to me--!
and, I think Garth Brooks is cute, and he kinda, sings well also! \

Today, my prayer is that with Garth's help we can
raise a TON of money for a worthwhile cause!
Have a Blessed Day!
